There are
three button types that you are able to easily program on
the Norstar system- External Speed Dial, Intercom, and
Features. Other button programming, such as Line
Assignments, requires entering System Administration
Programming.
To see how a button is currently programmed, press
Feature *0 and then the button (aka Button Inquiry).
External Speed Dials
1. Press Feature * 1
2. Press the button that you want to program
3. Enter the phone number, (example 5551212)
4. Press pound (#).
***Add a 9 before the number if you normally dial 9 for
an outside line.
Internal Intercoms (extension numbers)
1. Press Feature * 2
2. Press the button that you want to program
3. Enter the extension number.
Features
1. Press Feature * 3
2. Press the button that you want to program
3. Then press FEATURE and the feature code (for example
for Transfer you would enter F eature and then 70).
Here is a list of Feature Codes that are available on the
Norstar System. Some feature codes are not available on
all software levels. This list is for versions 2.0 &
higher.
